Karuna Care London Limited is applying to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to operate a residential care home without nursing at 549 Uxbridge Road, Hayes, UB4 8HP, for up to 9 adults. The service is not yet operational. No residents will be admitted and no regulated activity will be provided unless and until CQC registration has been granted.
Introduction
Karuna Care London Limited is founded on the principle of genuine compassion. The word “Karuna” itself denotes compassion, and we use it as the measure for how we intend the organisation to think, to speak and to act. The company has been established by professionals from health, social care and wider public service backgrounds who share a commitment to creating a safe, calm and thoughtfully run home for adults who require support in their daily lives.
Our first service is currently in development and progressing through the process of Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration. During this preparatory phase we are concentrating on the less visible but critical aspects of care: governance, policies, staff training and the physical environment. The aim is that, once residents move in, they are welcomed into a setting that is already stable, well organised and able to offer consistent, person‑centred support.
We are committed to delivering high quality care that is tailored to the individual rather than driven by routine. In practice this means understanding each person’s needs, preferences and life history, involving them and those important to them in decisions about how support is provided, and working in genuine partnership with local authorities and other professionals. Karuna Care London intends to meet, and in time to exceed, the standards set by the CQC and by Hillingdon Council for safe and well‑led services.
Safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance are being built into the service from the outset. Our policies and procedures are being aligned with CQC’s fundamental standards so that care is designed to be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led. We expect these standards not only to be documented, but to be visible in day‑to‑day practice once the home becomes operational.

Our mission is to provide safe, dignified, person-centred residential care for adults whose needs can be met in a non-nursing care home environment.
Our vision is to create a calm, respectful and well-governed home where residents are treated as individuals, supported to maintain independence where possible, and protected through robust safeguarding, risk management, staffing, training, care planning and quality assurance systems.
The service is currently at pre-registration stage and will not admit residents until CQC registration has been granted.
