Karuna Care London recognises that delivering excellent care is a team effort that extends beyond our organisation. We are committed to working collaboratively with local authorities and external agencies to ensure our services meet all regional and national standards. In particular, we will be building strong links with the London Borough of Hillingdon (Hillingdon Council), the Care Quality Commission (CQC), local NHS safeguarding teams, and adult social care networks in our community.
While our formal registration and approvals are still in progress, we are proactively aligning our practices with local authority expectations and sector best practices. For instance, we have been consulting Hillingdon Council’s adult social care guidelines and integrating their recommendations into our policies from the start. We are prepared to participate in Hillingdon’s quality monitoring or contract compliance programs once we are operational. Similarly, even as we apply for CQC registration, we are already adhering to the spirit of the CQC’s standards – acting as though an inspection could happen at any time, and using CQC’s feedback tools to self-assess our readiness.
Our collaboration will extend to engaging with NHS safeguarding teams and health services. This means if any health-related safety concerns arise (for example, a medical issue that poses a safeguarding risk), we will communicate and cooperate with NHS professionals such as GPs, community nurses, or hospital safeguarding officers to protect our residents. We also intend to join local adult social care forums and networks – these might include provider forums, care home associations in Hillingdon, or the local Safeguarding Adults Board meetings. Active involvement in these groups will help us stay informed about emerging best practices, training opportunities, and any changes in local procedures. It also demonstrates our openness to external scrutiny and support.
As a future provider, we welcome external oversight and guidance. We will maintain open communication with Hillingdon Council officials and CQC inspectors, inviting their input even before formal inspections take place. Any feedback or advice from these bodies will be taken seriously and acted upon. By working hand-in-hand with local authorities and healthcare partners, Karuna Care London aims to embed itself as a trusted, accountable member of the care community, always aligned with the highest standards of quality and compliance.
