Visiting Hours & Protocols
Karuna Care London Limited is not yet operational and is currently applying for CQC registration. The visiting arrangements below describe our intended approach once the service is registered and open.
Once operational, the home will support meaningful contact between residents and their families, friends and representatives, while maintaining safety, privacy, infection prevention and safeguarding arrangements. Visiting arrangements will be explained clearly to residents and families before admission and will remain flexible where individual needs, end-of-life circumstances, health needs or family circumstances require this.
Until the service is registered and operational, visits to the premises are by prior arrangement only.
- Standard Hours: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM, daily (including weekends & bank holidays).
- Open Visiting Policy: No booking required; visitors may arrive freely during these hours.
- Visit Duration: No strict time limits, but visitors should be mindful of space and other residents.
- Sign-In: All visitors must sign in at reception for security and fire safety.
- First-Time Visitors: Will be asked for ID or proof of relationship for safeguarding.
- Large Groups: Visits with 3+ guests should be pre-booked for better accommodation.
- Outside Hours: Special visits (e.g., work constraints, religious observances) can be arranged in advance.
- Hand Hygiene: Sanitiser stations are available at entrances; visitors are encouraged to use them.
- Illness Prevention: Please postpone visits if unwell (cold, flu, COVID-19 symptoms).
- Seasonal Precautions: Masks or distancing may be required during flu outbreaks or as per public health advice.
- Healthcare Visits: GP, nurse, and therapy visits are scheduled with prior notice.
- Social Workers & Legal Representatives: Must book in advance; private rooms available.
- End-of-Life & Emergency Visits: 24/7 access for close family in critical situations.
- Overnight Stays: Possible in exceptional circumstances; arrangements can be made.
We are committed to safe, meaningful visits that enhance our residents’ well-being. For any special requests or queries, please contact our team.
